Nature of request
Cornwayle requests that the king by counsel of his parliament ratify the moiety of the hundred of Overs as he had given to him by his charter, rendering at the Exchequer 6s. 8d., which moiety is ordered to be retaken into the king's hand by the new ordinances because the gift was made without the counsel of parliament. He states that it does not prejudice the crown, and it was given by reason that Cornwayle held the other moiety by right of the inheritance of his wife.
Nature of endorsement
When his charter and the inquests which have been returned into Chancery have been viewed and the king is to be advised on this.Coram rege tam expedite (to be expedited as quickly as possible).

Note
Probably dating to 1317-18. Cornwall received the grant of the moiety of the hundred on 10 May 1317 (CFR 1307-19, p.327). Quite why Rot. Parl. dates this to 1318 is not clear.
