People of the commonalty of Kesteven in the county of Lincoln.

Nature of request
The people having their land by the rivers Witham and Brant request that the king order a commission to enquire of the obstructions placed on those rivers whereby mill sluices, fish-weirs, causeways and dykes have diverted the river out of its ancient and right course to their impoverishment.
Nature of endorsement
Those who have lands adjoining to parts of the river that are blocked are to sue at common law.
