Nature of request
The abbot states that Badlesmere held lands from the abbey both of his inheritance and by purchase from which the church received dues in rent and services, and of which they were seized into the king's hand on the forfeiture of Badlesmere. The abbot requests that the king order the rents and services be made to him, or that he commands his will on the matter.
Nature of endorsement
Henry de Cobham and Adam de Passele should be assigned to enquire upon the truth of the contents in the petition and return the inquisition so that the king can do what is rightly to be done.
