King's loyal men, ministers, keepers, bailiffs and customs officers of the town of Kingston upon Hull.

Nature of request
The petitioners request that the king order certain justices to hear all the wrongs and encroachments upon the king, and the damages suffered by his ministers maintaining the rights of the king against the archbishop of York, who has been usurping all manner of things in Kingston upon Hull to the damage of the crown. The petitioners had petitioned the king at his parliament in Winchester concerning the same matter.
Nature of endorsement
Certain people are to be assigned on the part of the king before whom should come the archbishop of York and show all the things that he has to show for himself, and also the bailiffs and good men of Hull should show all the things which they have to show for the king and for themselves so that those assigned for the king will hear their reasons and acquaint themselves with all the good ways etc., and by inquest if necessary. And afterwards they are to certify the king of what they have found, which the king in deliberation and council upon what the certification made to him will be able to ordain what is to be done.
