Nature of request
Warilowe requests that the king order by his writ to the treasurer in Ireland that he pay for the repair of the castle of Leixlip, whose buildings and towers are ruinous and uncovered, from the issues of the manor. The repairs will cost £20 if done now.
Nature of endorsement
It seems to the council that the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer of Dublin should be ordered to command someone from the Exchequer to survey the faults of the castle in the presence of the keeper, and they should repair the faults up to the sum of £20 if it be necessary.

The petition is dated to 1328 by the heading in Rot. Parl., vol II, p.13 which records that this is from a Hale manuscript of petitions in parliament of 2 Edward III. The petition can be no later than 12 May 1328 when the writ directed by the endorsement was issued.
