Nature of request
Wolverton shows that he has been put on a jury in a grand assize, though he is exempted from this because he holds from the king in chief by barony. He requests a writ to the justices of the Bench that he be removed from the jury so that this is not applied in prejudice to Wolverton and the great lords of the land who hold by barony.
Nature of endorsement
The treasurer and barons of the Exchequer are ordered that they should certify the chancellor if Wolverton holds by entire barony, or not at all, and when the certification is returned into Chancery, Wolverton should have a writ upon it.

The petition is dated to 1328 by the heading in Rot. Parl., vol II, p.13 which records that this is from a Hale manuscript of petitions in parliament of 2 Edward III.
