Nature of request
Piers de Pontone states that he has long been in prison at Lewes, by the procurement of his enemy, William de Borgerssh, for trepass of venison in Earl Warenne's chace, of which he is not guilty: he requests to be put on the country on this matter, or to be released on sufficient mainprise until the next parliament, so that the king can then ordain as he wishes concerning him.

He is to find mainprise in Chancery according to the form of this petition, until the next parliament.
