Nature of request
Norman de Lethelyn states that he owes 300 marks sterling to Philip de Moubray, to whom John Cumyn gave all Norman's lands and chattels, because he was in the king's allegiance, of which he has paid £40 Philip is demanding the remainder, and Norman asks the king to order him to cease from this demand and to return his bond to him.
Nature of endorsement
The king has remitted all ransoms on either side, and wishes bonds of this kind not to be binding: therefore he is to have a writ to the said Philip that he is to cease to demand the said ransom, and that he is to return his bond to the said Norman.
