Nature of request
The abbot and convent of Osney ask the king for a letter under his great seal, on behalf of him and his heirs, acquitting them and their successors against the pope of 2996li. 17s. 8d., which they paid at the Exchequer for the tithe for the Holy Land.
Nature of endorsement
The chancellor is to examine the king's letters of immunity which they have, and if they are not adequate he is to issue them with the king's letters under the great seal that the king and his heirs are obliged to preserve them immune. And the other letters are to be annulled, and they are to be kept in the Treasury.
