Terri le Vileyn requests the king's letters patent, granting his protection to him, his people and his goods, allowing them to travel safely by land and sea, without molestation by reason of anything the people of Flanders have done or might do, paying the customs used and granted in England.

It is granted by the council that he is to have the king's protection in the form he requests, to last for a year.
