Abbot and convent of Coupar Angus.

Nature of request
The abbot and convent of Coupar Angus request that the king have consideration of the great losses and damages they have suffered through the burning of their granges, and other destructions of their goods and chattels, after they came into the king's peace - as those of the king's council who are present can attest - and that he give them some compensation for this, as he promised.
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege.There is to be an inquiry before the king's Lieutenant into these burnings, when and by whom they were carried out, and they are to inform the king.
