Nature of request
The earl of Buchan requests that the king grant him as much wood as he pleases in his forests of Buchan and Kintore to rebuild one of his manors and other lands, which were burnt down during the war; and also, as he has lost his prime deer through coming to this country to the king, that the king grant him as many hinds as he pleases, now, during fawning season, in the aforesaid forests.
Nature of endorsement
The king wishes the earl to have fifty oaks and twelve hinds.
