Geoffrey de Aumpilford states that he served the king throughout his war in Scotland, and was maimed in his right eye in the castle of Tarres in the company of Walter de Boroudone, and at the beginning of the war lost everything he had in the castle of Banff, where he was constable in the company of John de Pothowe. He requests a bailiwick, or constableship, or forestership, in England or Scotland, where he can serve for his living.

The King's Lieutenant in Scotland is to be ordered to provide him with a suitable office for a maimed man for term of his life.
