Nature of request
Christina de Mareys states that she brought a writ of mort d'ancestor against Agnes de Valence and others named in the writ, concerning tenements in Rathmore in County Kildare and Athlacca in County Limerick, of which her brother Walter, whose heir she is, died seised in his demesne as in fee, but she has been delayed by the king's protection, which Agnes has claimed for twenty years and more - contrary to justice, as she is a woman and has not been in the king's service anywhere. She requests a writ to the justices of Ireland that she might have common law, notwithstanding this protection.
