John de Schyrawill complains that, although by the law of the land, no-one convicted of a false oath is to serve on a jury or in any royal office, except by his special command, one John de Freston, who was convicted of this in an assize at Bury St Edmunds between the town and the abbot, has been in the office of coroner in Suffolk for six years. He requests a remedy.

Note
Date given on the evidence of Rot. Parl. JRS Phillips (PROME, Appendix of Unedited Petitions, 1307-1337) says that these petitions probably all do belong to 18 Edward II, although there is no indication that they were presented either at the non-parliamentary assembly of October 1324 or the parliament of June 1325.
