Piers Ayqem complains that Arnold Michol of Bazas, who is in prison because he was with the Earl of Lancaster, bought wine from him at Hull on the first Wednesday of last Lent, for which he has not paid him. He requests a due and reasonable remedy.

The petition is dated to 1322 as it is clearly in the aftermath of the failed baronial revolt, Micol having been imprisoned for his adherence to Thomas of Lancaster. Micol received a pardon by CPR 1321-4 p.139 is dated at York, 30 June 1322.One of a collection of petitions published on pages 387ff of Rot. Parl., vol I., which all seem to date from around 1322. This dating is confirmed by PROME, Appendix of Unedited Petitions, 1307-1337, Rotuli Parliamentorum I, pp. 387-415, which dates these petitions to 15 or 16 Edward II (1321-1323).
