Henry de Glastyngbury states that Thomas, formerly earl of Lancaster granted to him, by various indentures, forty pounds worth of rent from the earl's manor of Collingbourne, of which ten pounds worth were granted to Henry by Edmund, formerly earl of Leicester, in the second year of the reign of the late king Edward, from the issues of the town of Leicester - which Thomas, earl of Lancaster exchanged with him for rents from Collingbourne - twenty pounds worth were granted by Thomas earl of Lancaster in the twelfth year of the reign of the present king, and ten pounds worth in the thirteenth year, to hold peacefully for the whole of Henry's lifetime. He was seised peacefully of this rent until recently, when the sheriff of Wiltshire and Robert de Hongerford expelled him. He requests a remedy.

Nature of endorsement

He is to show any evidence he has on his behalf, and the king will do justice to him in Chancery.
