John Kygge of Grantham states that he had loaded his ship with herring and other provisions, to the value of forty pounds, to carry to the king's city of Nottingham along the River Trent, Thomas de Fencotes, William Crak, William Toury, William le Moigne, Walter atte Lideyate, John, son of Robert and William de Aglond, men of John de Moubray, the king's enemy, took these goods at Kinnard's Ferry, on St Catherine's day in the fifteenth year (25 November 1321) of the king's reign, against the king's peace, and did as they pleased with them. He requests a remedy.

Note
The petition is dated to 1322 as it is clearly in the aftermath of the failed baronial revolt as it refers to John de Mowbray as an enemy of the king, and he was one of the leading rebels. In addition the petition refers to events on 25 November 1321.One of a collection of petitions published on pages 387ff of Rot. Parl., vol I., which all seem to date from around 1322. This dating is confirmed by PROME, Appendix of Unedited Petitions, 1307-1337, Rotuli Parliamentorum I, pp. 387-415, which dates these petitions to 15 or 16 Edward II (1321-1323).
