Richard del Hurst requests payment of ten shillings for sea coal taken from him in London by John de Norton, formerly clerk of the palace, for the king's coronation, for which he has a bill from John de Norton, and for which he has never been paid.
Nature of endorsement
The treasurer and barons of the Exchequer are to be ordered to call John de Norton before them, and if they find that an allowance has been made to him for this, then justice is to be done to Richard del Hurst.

Note
One of a collection of petitions published on pages 387ff of Rot. Parl., vol I., which all seem to date from around 1322. This dating is confirmed by PROME, Appendix of Unedited Petitions, 1307-1337, Rotuli Parliamentorum I, pp. 387-415, which dates these petitions to 15 or 16 Edward II (1321-1323).
