George de Bristmerston states that he leased his manor of Haxton to Phillip de la Beche, for the term of his life, on payment of a robe and a hundred shillings each year and food and drink for himself, a servant and a horse, and the said manor is now in the king's hand through Phillip's forfeiture. He requests a remedy.

The petition is dated to 1322 because it is clearly in the aftermath of the baronial revolt of 1322.One of a collection of petitions published on pages 387ff of Rot. Parl., vol I., which all seem to date from around 1322. This dating is confirmed by PROME, Appendix of Unedited Petitions, 1307-1337, Rotuli Parliamentorum I, pp. 387-415, which dates these petitions to 15 or 16 Edward II (1321-1323).CCR 1318-1323 p.580 is dated at York, 20 July 1322.
