- John la Warre requests that he might have respite from his homage to the king for the tenements which he used to hold of the earl of Lancaster, as he is too ill to work, and that he might have writs for this to be done until Michaelmas next to the keepers of the fees in the counties of Lancashire, Lincolnshire and Rutland.

- The petition is dated to 1322 as it is clearly in the aftermath of the battle of Boroughbridge and the execution and forfeiture of the earl of Lancaster.One of a collection of petitions published on pages 387ff of Rot. Parl., vol I., which all seem to date from around 1322. This dating is confirmed by PROME, Appendix of Unedited Petitions, 1307-1337, Rotuli Parliamentorum I, pp. 387-415, which dates these petitions to 15 or 16 Edward II (1321-1323).
