The brothers and sisters of the hospital of St Leonard of Leicester.
Addressees

Nature of request
The brothers and sisters request that the king grant a writ to his keeper of Leicester that he pay an annual rent of ancient alms issuing from the office of chief clerk (protonotary) of Leicester in the manner of the charter of Earl Simon, and paid from then until the death of Earl Thomas.
Nature of endorsement
They should show their charter in Chancery, and let justice be done to them in that place.

The petition dates to 1322 as is noted in the heading in Rot. Parl., vol I, p.387 and because the petition makes reference to the death of Thomas of Lancaster, and also by the writ relating to this in CCR 1318-23, p.622 to the receiver of Tutbury.
