Nature of request
Cosyn shows that he is owed his wages which are due for his service in the garrison of Berwick Castle. He requests that he be paid, or have assigned to him the manor of Holywell, or the manor of Stretton which are in the king's hand, until the sum owed is taken. He also requests that the king should have regard for the profits that Cosyn has lost from his lands in Northumberland after the battle of Stirling.1)
