Nature of request
Verdun requests that the king consider and order some allowance be made to him in what he ought to pay for his brother's lands which the king has granted him, because their extent is less than the expenses he incurs for them.1)
Nature of endorsement
When the justiciar of Ireland comes the king will speak to him on it.2) There is to be an enquiry into how much Verdun renders per annum, and it seems to the justiciar that £10 is sufficient, and an annual allowance for so much is to be made to him in that which he paid before the award.
