Nature of request
Merlawe requests that the king devise some remedy for her concerning a rent that she used to receive from a shop in the parish of St Bride of Fleet Street in London. Merlawe sold it to Horner, who in his turn sold it to Chauntecler who now withholds the rent and for which she can have no other remedy as Chauntecler has blocked up the doorway with a wall so that she is without recovery.
Nature of endorsement
She should sue in Chancery at the common law.
