Nature of request
The prior and convent request that the king order the chancellor to issue a writ for the seisin of lands in Walteringham of which Roger de Gringley who held them from the prior and convent died seised. The lands were taken into the king's hand because of Roger's alleged status as a neif, an inquest having been returned into Chancery on the same.
Nature of endorsement
The inquest should be seen, and if it is sufficient just as is supposed, then let justice be done to them in Chancery.
