The converted request pity and mercy, concerning the alms granted to them by the king which are in 3 years arrears by which many of them have died by the default, and the others are destitute.1)
Nature of endorsement
The king wishes to be informed by the keeper, and then he will give his will.2) Coram rege.

The petition is dated to 1320 by the heading in Rot. Parl., vol I, p.365 for the parliament held on Monday in the octave of St Michael, 14 Edward II.
