Brett requests that the king renew a writ that he has in the manner that it was granted. He had the writ to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer at the parliament at York, but was unable to serve it, or have it executed because he was sent to the garrison of Carlisle by the king.1)

The petition is to be viewed, and if it is thus then he should have another.2) Coram rege.
