Nature of request
Northampton requests that remedy be made to him for a debt that has been owing to him for a long time for lead that Nicholas de Tickhill and John de Norton took for the works at the palace of Westminster. He has been rebuffed by the king's ministers and is greatly impoverished by the non-payment.1)
Nature of endorsement
It is to be seen by the archbishop of Canterbury who was at that time treasurer of the Wardrobe, and he is to inform the king on this.2) Coram rege.
