The prior and convent request that the king grant them view of Frankpledge in the vill of West Haddon over their own tenants, and over the trespasses committed by those coming to the market in the same place. They request this in recompence for a livery which the prior granted at the king's request.1)
Nature of endorsement
An inquest is to be held by writ of Chancery of the value of the view, and to whose damage it would be.2) Coram rege.
