Nature of request

The lands were subsequently granted to the Montagues. He requests that the king grant a writ to his justices to have regard to the tortuous seisin, and not to hear a writ of Elizabeth de Montague concerning the assize, and that they are not to allow hasty judgement to be given.
Nature of endorsement
The justices before whom the assize was taken are ordered by a writ, that following the law and custom of the kingdom they should proceed to judgement. And if there are difficulties wherefore they are unable to proceed to rendering judgement then they should send the record and process thence produced before the king at a certain day, and adjourn the parties to the same place.
