Nature of request
Mabank requests remedy concerning the execution of a judgement to put George son of Thomas de Chill in possession of lands in Manxy and Folkington which he recovered by an assize of novel disseisin. The sheriff and Malank had been prevented from executing the order by an armed force of the men of Pevensey. In addition he complains that they have enclosed 2,000 acres of marsh, and threatened those who spoke for the king.
Nature of endorsement
As regards the execution of the judgement, he should go before the justices before whom etc., and he should have a writ from the justices for making the execution. And as regards the other contents of the petition the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer are ordered by a writ that should contain the tenor of the petition, calling others of the council if necessary to discuss the same business, that they can see what is to be done for the king.

The petition is dated to 1320 by the heading in Rot. Parl., vol I, p.365 for the parliament held on Monday in the octave of St Michael, 14 Edward II.
