Nature of request
Lancaster requests remedy concerning a judgement that has been pending between him and John de Elland for 10 years and more concerning the reversal of a fine in which errors were assigned before the council of the king to John's suit, and that the king order the justices to proceed to judgement.
Nature of endorsement
The justices are ordered to justice upon the contents of the petition according to the law and custom of the realm, so that if that fine be in any part erroneous or defective, it is to be corrected appropriately.

Note
The petition is dated to 1316 by the title in Rot. Parl., vol I, p.337 referring to the parliament at Lincoln after the octave of St Hillary, 9 Edward II.
