Nature of request
1) Mulcastre requests a writ of warrant to make repairs to the houses of the castle of Carlisle. He shows that parts of the houses are totally destroyed, whilst others need re-roofing and other repairs. If it is addressed now it cost £20, but if it is left until after the summer it will cost £40.2) He also requests that the chancellor command Robert de Clifford by a writ of the king to deliver timber for the repair of the houses.1)

Repairs are to be made to the houses up to the sum of 100s..2) Mulcastre should have a writ of Chancery to the justice of the Forest that the sheriff should have 10 oaks for the repair of the houses of the castle of the king.
