Lucy requests remedy from the king for his share in the woods of Allerdale which he holds in common with the king. The king's men have cut down most of the woods for the enclosure of Abbeytown and for his peel of Dumfries.
Nature of endorsement
Robert de Clifford or his deputy, and John de Insula should view the wood and enquire of the damage to it by a writ of Chancery, and the council should be certified.
