Nature of request
Ludelowe requests an allowance in anything of £100 which is owed by John de Buteturte, William de Carlton, and John de Husthwaite who are overseas on the king's business, in which £100 they are bound to Ludelowe by their letters.
Nature of endorsement
The letter of John de Buteturte, William de Carlton and John de Husthwaite is to be inspected, and if it shows that the debt is owed he should have an assignment somewhere and a writ of Chancery. Anyone having the same suit should have a similar remedy.

Note
The petition is dated to 1305 on the basis of Rot. Parl., vol I, p.159. This can be no later than the 10 April 1305 when the king granted the allowance to Ludelowe by a writ to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer (CCR 1302-7, p.255).
