Nature of request
Newburgh states that whereas the knight's fees in Dorset and Somerset which were not included in the fine levied between the queen and Henry de Newburgh his father were adjudged to Newburgh before Master Ralph de Ivinghoe, and he had a writ of judgement on this to Humphrey de Walden to put him in seisin, the tenants did not wish to transfer their homage from the king without a special warrant, so that by a bill brought before the last parliament a writ of Chancery was ordered by the council to Master Ralph to bring the record before the council without delay, but he has done nothing, and does not wish to do anything. Newburgh requests a writ of Chancery, or to give a reason why he is unable to do so.
Nature of endorsement
John de Newburgh should have a writ to Ivinghoe, just like the other, to produce the record, or to state the reason why he can't.
