Description

Chesterfield to Cumberland: the king has approved Cumberland's recommendations for promotions. Chesterfield hopes that M Carpentier's letters and the extracts from Newcastle's letter will have assured Saxe of the king's good faith on the cartel. Dated (OS) at Whitehall. ff. 395, 396
