Responds to the Colonial Office's suggestion, stated in confidential despatch 11 June 1880, that the Crown should be relieved of the patronage of Ecclesiastical benefices in Bermuda. Further explains that the preferred course would most likely be a transfer of patronage to the Church Synod subject to the approval of the Bishop.
