Reports that Act No. 7 of 1872 offered an award for the destruction of crows and forbad the killing of the other ordinary birds during the first eight months of each year. In response to circular despatch 28 August 1880, which asked for information concerning the measures in place for"the protection or extermination of animals, insects or birds which are useful or injurious to agriculture".
