Description

Chesterfield to Cumberland: the allies can have no objection to Sandwich meeting alone with the marquis de Puissieux, since they will be informed of what takes place. The king's satisfaction with the report made to him by Major General Huske. He wishes his electoral troops to take winter quarters in Overijssel and Guelderland [Gelderland], near the border with Germany. Contagious fever among troops in South Beveland and consequent troop movements. Dated (OS) at Whitehall. ff. 270-273
