Urges the need to appoint a clergyman for Sandys and Southampton Parishes to replace Rev Charles P K Coombe who resigned on 15 September 1877. Encloses a letter from the Church Vestries of the two Parishes stating that the Rev. M K L Frith, Rural Dean of Duffield and former Rector of Paget and Warwick in Bermuda, might be able to aid the Secretary of State in finding a suitable candidate. Signed by Church Wardens Scott H Gilbert and Sam C Bell along with eight others. Also see CO 37/210/80
