Residence of colonial secretary, Tobago: reports that the former colonial secretary neglected to pay a moderate rent for four years as a result of which the official residence has fallen into disrepair. The building is now under repair, and it is suggested that rent should be charged to be used for future maintenance. Colonial Office agrees that as the new colonial secretary has not been offered accommodation as part of his terms of employment, rent may be charged.
