Description

Explains the case of Frances Mary (Hill) Whitney, the Bermudian born wife of William Whitney, Deputy Counsel of the United States at the Port of Hamilton, who seeks permission to introduce a bill into the Legislature to allow her to hold real property, as her marriage to a citizen of the United States bars her from doing so; encloses a letter from Mr and Mrs Whitney's solicitor on the subject.
