Report of John William Rose, Recorder of London, on John Palmer, soldier, convicted in September 'last', for stealing 1 linen sheet and other articles, value 10/-, property of James Harper, in August. Evidences supplied by Jenett Harper, Mary Mavern, prisoner's landlady; Julia Kilgour and the prisoner. Grounds for clemency: his regiment to due for overseas service. Initial sentence: 3 months imprisonment and a 1/- fine. Recommendation: the prisoner to join his regiment immediately.
