Report of John William Rose, Recorder of London, on Henry Dixon alias Henry Rutter and Henry Price, convicted at the Old Bailey[?] in December 1786, for an assault with a knife with intent to steal money, property of Richard Osborne, a waterman and lighterman from Stepney in Middlesex, on 16 November 1786[?]. Evidences supplied by Richard Osborne, Mary Read, James Collins, Edward Quarterman, watchman at Shadwell, John Orange, watchman and the 2 prisoners. Grounds for clemency: none given. Initial sentence: 7 years transportation to Africa. Recommendation: 7 years transportation.
