OFFICIAL VISITS: 'Spanish Chief of General Staff Inspects Guard of Honour.' 'Lieutenant General Don Jose Gabeiras Montero (centre), Spanish Chief of General Staff, inspecting the Guard of Honour mounted by the 1st Battalion 2nd King Edward VII Own Gurka Rifles, commanded by Major W F Shuttlewood (left), on his arrival at the Ministry of Defence, Whitehall, London. General Montero, who is on a seven-day official visits to Britain, was greeted by his British counterpart General Sir Edwin Bramall. Lt. Gen. Montero is on a seven-day official visit to Britain. During his stay he will visit the School of Artillery at Larkhill, units of the 6th Field Force at Aldershot and see a demonstration of tank firing by the Royal Armoured Corps at Bovingdon, southern England.'
