Description

Letter from John William Rose, Recorder of London, to the Home Secretary, Mr Grenville, expressing thanks to for his polite letter. He states that he has returned some convicts' petitions as they might help elucidate matters referred to in his reports, and apologises for making notes on them 'Not knowing that it had been usual - to return the Petitions - '. He hopes his reports are satisfactory but is willing to write supplementary reports if required.
