Grounds for clemency: prisoner lived in habits of industry and it was his first offence. Initial sentence: not given. Recommendation: to transport himself and arrange security for the term of 14 years. A note added to the report by Grenville, dated 16 September 1789, states that he sees no reason to comply with this recommendation or mitigate the sentence passed by Baron Perryn. Folios 155-156.
