Letter from James Adair in response to a request for a report on Robert Holloway and William Priddle, following their petition [wanting] in which they complain strongly about Adair. Adair states 'I feel myself as a judge to decline making any report, or entering into any explanation of my judicial conduct, in answer to an irregular and extrajudicial complaint'. He will not report on them but is returning the petition and will await the king's decision on what to do. Folios 98-100. See also HO 47/9/17, folios 94-95 and HO 47/9/21, folios 111-112.
